10 years of experiance
We are the leading Spanish Language School in the Canaries. Since the year 2000 we have been participated in more than 50 mobility projects working as a promoter, hosting organisation or intermediary. We have an extensive database of business contacts in the Canary Islands and all over Europe.

As a Receiving Partner we help to realise projects for EU Schools and Colleges who want to send their students to The Canary Islands to gain work experience.

As an Intermediary for Receiving Partners in Tenerife we can organise all aspects of the project as we already have the resources in place: e.g. language tuition, transfers, all types of good quality student accommodation and a 24 hour student helpline. We provide constant monitoring of each participant, a final report, evaluation and the Europass certificate.

As an Intermediary for Sending Partners, we represent schools and vocational training colleges in Tenerife who want to plan projects abroad. These institutions can take advantage of our contacts in other countries and our expertise in planning and implementing projects.

In 2003 we were granted the International Certificate of Quality Management, ISO 9001:2000 which guarantees the quality of our administration and compliance with company law in Spain.

The International Academy is a member of The Spanish Federation of Associations of Spanish Schools for Foreigners (FEDELE) www.fedele.org which was founded by regional associations to represent and promote Spanish teaching. In FEDELE we are convinced our schools can offer Spanish Language students the best range and quality of language courses in Spain.

We are members of the Canary Island Tourism Organisation CIT (Centro de Iniciativas y Turismo) www.cit-tenerife.com which is the responsible for the promotion of international tourism. As associates we are committed to offering a high quality of service to our visitors and encourage our students to explore the unique environment in Tenerife.

Location
Tenerife is also a wonderful location and popular with holiday makers. With its mild, sunny climate it is a very attractive destination for students and their tutors.
Due to favourable tax rates Tenerife has a well developed tourist and business infrastructure. Many of our interns have gone on to find permanent work here. It is also a great place for young people to make friends with students from all over Europe and beyond.

Our language school is situated in Puerto de la Cruz which was once a small fishing village but is now a popular tourist destination. It is renowned for its charm, friendly people and of course, the mild sub-tropical climate.
The town is situated on the north coast in the Valley of La Orotava, the greenest and most beautiful area of the island. The centre of town is a pedestrian zone with plenty of restaurants, hotels, bars and shops. As well as its landscaped beaches (Playa Jardín and Martiánez) Puerto de la Cruz offers lots of other attractions e.g. the historic Botanical Garden, Loro Park with its parrots, dolphins and whales, and the lush Taoro Park. The Plaza del Charco, the main square, is a meeting point for local residents and tourists alike.

The Climate

Tenerife, along with the other Canary Islands, is called the “Land of Eternal Spring”, with temperatures ranging from 20ºC in winter to 30ºC in summer. It is the ideal place to combine a holiday with a language course.
